A Mentor’s Reflection

Suzanne is a mentor to three HEAR Scholars in the HEAR Class of 2023. She says, “becoming a mentor for students in HEAR’s College Success Program has been an extremely fulfilling experience. The opportunity has enabled me to use my leadership and management skills I have gained over a 30 year career in business. I also have life lessons from mistakes I made to share with them as they start their college journey. Being a mentor for these girls has also provided me an opportunity to improve my own communication skills, and afforded me my own personal growth with family and friends. It has given me a positive insight and perspectives in the lives of these extremely bright and motivated young women who want to make a difference in the world!”
