HEAR Class of 2020, Dan T. will graduate in May from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) in Marketing and a minor in Sustainability. Dan has already been offered, and has accepted, a full-time role as an Event Marketing Specialist with the company he interned for last summer. We are delighted for Dan and wish him the best with his future endeavors!
Dan shared some thoughts about his time as a HEAR Scholar and we wanted to share them with you…..
“I had a feeling in my gut that UW-Madison was the right place for me to spend the next four years of my life. I knew the opportunities and experiences at UW would be far more abundant for my career and life aspirations.
I was an aspiring first-gen. college student with a dream. The HEAR Foundation helped me achieve that dream. Their support and assistance made it possible for me to attend UW-Madison.
I truly can say that I would not be where I am today without HEAR. They have helped my family and I insurmountably. I have always felt like HEAR offered far more than financial assistance: they offered the means for me to reach my life aspirations.
More importantly, they offered me a whole other family. The HEAR community truly is a family. From checking in with us to see how we’re doing, to winter get-togethers, to genuine excitement in our accomplishments, HEAR truly is a special community, one I feel blessed and honored to be a part of.
Even though I will be graduating this spring, I know that I will remain a part of the HEAR community for the rest of my life.”
Dan is a Dr. Ron R. Pollina Scholar from our graduating class of 2020.
