We have to give a HUGE shout out to the wonderful ladies on the HEAR Scholarship Enrichment Committee who gave up an evening last week to pack up and send out care packages to our HEAR Scholars. Each box contained homemade cookies, brownies and other delicious snacks! The boxes were closed up, taped, labeled and dropped to UPS to be safely delivered.
Each box had a little note which read, “We are sending this little Care Package so that you know that we are thinking of you as this semester comes to a close. We know how hard you have worked and what challenges may lie ahead….. and we hope that this little box of cheer will give you a boost. We stand behind you with caring encouragement, and pride in what you have accomplished so far. Keep up the great efforts and we hope that your finals and projects are all successful.

Our HEAR Scholars have all been so grateful to have received these packages from home in the mail and everyone at the HEAR Foundation is grateful to all the ladies on this wonderful committee!
Allison Ledwon (Class of 2019) said, “That care package made my day! I was expecting to go to the package center to pick up a new phone charger and it was a box of deliciousness instead. Thank you all for taking such great care of us!

Sam Van Loon (Class of 2019) said. “I was wonderfully surprised! I had no idea what I’d be getting from HEAR, and I was very pleasantly surprised by the cookie care package.”
Andrea Guzman (Class of 2021) said, “Tell the baking ladies that I loved the cookies and really appreciated it!”
Nick Moran (Class of 2021) said, “I totally didn’t expect another package and it was really sweet to receive. I’m trying to diet a little bit, so I shared with my roommate and all of my friends I was studying with, which really spread the love around. So if you have their emails, please tell the team we really appreciated it!)”
